Recycling: Good for the environment

As we are starting to notice that certain resources are becoming increasingly scarce, many recycling programmes are being successfully implemented. Waste and refuse that up until recently would have been discarded or incinerated has now become the focal point of many businesses of various sizes. Waste is evermore becoming a commodity.
These companies have taken it upon them to collect and separate the waste that we produce daily. Using various, often highly complex methods, this enables these companies to reprocess the waste, thus reintroducing it into the resource cycle. This shift toward more environmentally conscious thinking has not only created more labour opportunities, it also greatly benefits the well being of our planet.
We, Eurokat Ltd. have specialized in buying and reprocessing old and defect automotive catalytic converters. We obtain these through various channels, including car suppliers, scrap- and vehicle end-of-life yards, among others.

Old converters: Valuable sources of precious metals

Some of the materials used in constructing catalytic converters are very valuable, for instance the coating of the ceramic body in the inside of the converter. In order to convert automotive emissions a minute coat consisting of Rhodium, Platinum and Palladium is attached to the ceramic body inside the converter.
At end of life up to 98% of this coating will be extracted using various complex chemical and manual processes. Not only the precious metals are re-used. Steel and various steel combinations are also separated and re-introduced into the resource cycle.

Collecting pays off!

Since we have made the recycling of catalytic converters our sole enterprise we are able to efficiently streamline our labour, and due to strict overhead cost management we are able to offer the customer a highly competitive market rate for their product.

Of course, this does not mean that we compromised competent and reliable service. Technology - GPS satellite navigation is standard in all vehicles of our fleet - as well as strict time management will ensure prompt and reliable collection on site. Of course collection within Germany is free of charge and if preferred we pay our clients cash on site.
